Abstract: Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is a rapidly growing technology that enables transport of voice over data networks. This growth of the technology is due to the integration of voice and data traffic over existing networking infrastructure. The advantages of VoIP are lower cost and improved network management. This analyzing the performance VoIP codec in network environment using IEEE802.11ac. In this analyzing, the measurement of the real time communications, VoIP,call are taken for analysis. Measurements focused on two different qualities which is voice and network quality. The voice quality analyzed based on MOS value and R-Factor while network quality analyzed based on wireless signal strength, throughput, delay, jitter and packet loss. The result for both different qualities summarized into graph form with differentiate between two codecs. The measurement results related to each others parameter and depends on the wireless signal strength for overall. Besides that, the environmental factors such as the distance covered access point, interference and other obstacles also effecting VoIP performance. The analysis and results illustrated the benefits of IEEE802.11 wireless standard that is to be used and implement in the future.
