Title: Thermoacoustic Refrigerator Chamber For Noise Induced Converter (Ni-Con
Authors: Abdul Manan Bin Mohamad Satar
Issue Date: 28-May-2014
Abstract: The study focuses on an interesting theory related to the principle of sound and energy transfer that are someday will become another type of way to get thermal difference between hot and cold energy without using a conventional process as today. The theory is called thermoacoustic refrigeration and the main components involve in the process of the thermoacoustic refrigeration is called thermoacoustic refrigerator. The idea is to convert the energy of sound to another form of energy which is hot and called gasses that are later useful for other purposes that include refrigeration like aircondition, refrigerator, freezer, cooler and many more. Plus the heating process for example heater, boiler and even stirling engine. However, the author has narrow down the scope in this research, which is the author decided to focus only on the proving the theory with building the prototype of the thermoacoustic refrigerator for experimental purposes, study the trend of the output related to the changes in surrounding temperature and also the level of sound. It is because due to the author interest and also the availability of reliable data. In this research, the author will segregate, analyses and evaluate related data in order to come out with a specific design to build the prototype of the thermoacoustic refrigerator and constructing the experimentation related to the manipulated variable stated before. After all those process had been done by the author, the best and good suggestion will be state or given in order to improve better understanding about thermoacoustic refrigerator either theoretically or practically plus open the opportunity for other researchers to explore, study, and improve this knowledge that will someday can make a lot of changes in our everyday life.
