Title: Islamic Dishwasher for Food & Beverages Industry in Malaysia

Abstract: The existing problems from this study state the consumer ambiguity on dishwashing process at food place hotel or restaurant in Malaysia that have a provided services food & beverages. There are certain eating places mix their dishes during food serving and dishes cleaning. Dishes are never separated to distinguish Muslim or non-Muslim customers. Dishes that are used to serve non-halal food are also used to serve halal food without proper cleansing. This is a problem since Muslims need their dishes to not only be cleaned but also free from non-halal elements. In fact, dishwasher used in food & beverages industry in Malaysia still less. Therefore, the process of research has collected its data and delivers a design with enough information and study to reach its objective; to design a dishwasher that has ‘sertu’ capability and to enhance the understanding and awareness of Islamic aspects, context and perspectives. The design has been show to prove sufficient data for product performance, to ensure the design can be delivered to the viewer and understandable.
