Abstract: This project is about a Development of Low Cost Portable Single Phase to Three Phase Converter. This phase converter is one of the alternative electrical equipments to overcome the problems especially by the small industries entrepreneur in rural areas. This is due to the cost to install the three-phase incoming supply is very expensive. The phase converter that has been developed employs the static conversion techniques. This converter will provide a three phase power supply by convert supply from single phase, this very important so that it will help the industry to overcome the problem regarding on power conversion. This converter will convert from 240 VAC two wire supplies into 415 VAC four wire output. The reason to convert from 240 VAC supplies into 415 VAC base on power needed by the equipment in industries, where most of the electrical machines in industries was operate by 415 VAC incoming supply. The target industry that focus to implement this project was in small business where the limitation of budget, most of small business was located in rural area, so facilities of electrical supply is one of the issues, where they need to dill with the bureaucracy. To perform this project it has several methods which are static, rotary and digital. This project will focus on static techniques.
