dc.description.abstract | The primary objective of the project was to observer the potential of paraffin wax as cooling medium for electric vehicle battery pack. In this project, the experiment method with apparatus setup was used to determine the effect of Q (Heat Conduction) towards the paraffin wax temperature. A different situation of heating and cooling the paraffin wax will show a different temperature reading for paraffin wax and power input has been verified. All the measurements data in the experiment were calculated and transformed into the heat curve and temperature curve to determine the potential of paraffin wax as battery pack coolant for electric vehicle. Throughout the experiment result observation, paraffin wax shows the capability of store energy in thermal management. Therefore paraffin can enhance the thermal management of battery pack as coolant in Electric vehicle. The difference of cooling situation shows the different time interval the paraffin wax shows the potential of store energy. For good result the paraffin wax can be mixture with filler to enhance the thermal management of experiment. | en_US |
