Authors: Ahmad Syafiq Bin Abdul Halim
Keywords: charpy impact test,
energy absorption
Issue Date: 6-Mar-2014
Abstract: The primary objective of the project was to investigate on effects of roof tile compose with nature fiber strength. In this project, the experiment method with apparatus setup used to determine the energy absorption from five different roof tile, concrete tile, clay tile, concrete with fiber (bamboo, sugar cane, coconut husk). A different percentage of fiber will be test to get a high-energy absorption. Due to the experiment, it required to fabricate specimen to test it on the charpy impact test. All the measurements data in the experiment were measure and transformed it to taguchi method to fine the most effective fiber and compare with the concrete and clay tile.
