Title: Two-Plate Mould: Flow Simulation Analysis of Shower Cream Holder and Design of Two-Plate Mould

Abstract: Shower cream/shampoo is a common product today. Every household use shower cream/shampoo in their daily life. Normally shower cream/shampoo is packaged in containers. Usually the container is normally kept in the bathroom by attaching it to a holder. Some shower cream holders are provided with the container, and they hold the container at the body, but some shower cream/shampoo holders holds the neck of the container, made of stainless steel and the holder comes together with the base to support the container, which requires more space. The existing products of shower cream/shampoo holder also are not multifunctional; they hold only one specific product. This purpose of this project is to design the complete two-plate mould and analyze the plastic flow during injection molding process of two-plate mold in order to produce the shower cream/ shampoo holder. The complete two-plate mould designed is by using the Solid Work software and analysis the flow simulation by using the Mould Flow software. The mould flow software helps in order to analyze the feeding system like sprue, runner and gate during plastic injection molding process. Also, to show the defect of the mould base such as sink mark, air trap, iv temperature variance, cooling estimated based on location of the gate, designing of the product and material selection. Besides that, the cooling quality results depend on the part and designing of the cooling. The interested about this software is useful to students, designers, and engineers to decide the best location of feeding system like gate, runner and sprue and to decide the type of material selection.
