Abstract: Many nations such as the United States of America, most of the European countries and some countries in Asia such as Japan are in full swing to meet the challenges posed by the ever increasing aging population in their country. The United Nations has confirmed that by 2050 the aging population will reach it's height to almost 2 billion which would double the numbers of young children aged 0-15 years. As aging will come hand in hand with health deterioration, physical impairments and economic and social uncertainties, the ever increasing numbers of aging population will indeed need our commitment in diversifying effort to cope with the challenges posed by this portion of the society. This paper intends to share some ideas which would help our policy makers to further strengthen and enrich the National Strategic Plan For The Elderly. This paper too hopes to stimulate further discussion to explore for more ideas so as to ensure the policies and steps that will be taken to cope with the needs of our future aging generation will be mor diversified and whollistic. Hopefully all the various avenues will be explore to bring about the best practice in caring for our elderly population.
