Abstract: Active transportation such walking or cycling give us a lot of benefits. It is popular in overseas but in our place at the current situation, walking and cycling are less popular. Peoples were not preferred to walk or cycle because of many factors. The purpose of this study is to measure the current feedback from community of Bandar Seri Alam on safe walking and cycling, and to suggest to the relevant authority the suitable facilities need to be improving in Bandar Seri Alam. In doing the research, researcher makes an observation to all existing pedestrian and cyclist facilities in Bandar Seri Alam. The location was chosen based on the categories of land use. The areas include housing, school, shopping mall, and transit station. All of the observation was done in Bandar Seri Alam, Johor Bahru. The questionnaire was also distributed to the respondents at each of three (3) locations. All data were analyzed using the Statistical Package of Social Science (SPSS) programme and Microsoft Excel. From the results of this research hopefully can help the authority to know the needs from community of walking and cycling to improve people mobility to public transport.
