Abstract: | Al Quran is the ultimate reference to the Muslims. Its revelation is very unique due to the fact that it was revealed in stages. Visualization is a process of transforming information into a visual form, enabling users to visualize the information. Nowadays, the technology development in Muslim community is the issue that must be emphasized. This paper will concentrated to the evaluation of the existing visualization techniques to find ways to improve the view, access and retrieve the content of Surah Al Baqarah effectively, focusing on five (5) categories,namely muamalat, judiciary, Islamic criminal law, Islamic family law and jihad since in Al Baqarah there are lot of categories that can been discussed. In the prototype of this system, there are several visualization techniques such as overview and detail, hierarchical, dynamic queries, iconic representation and colour was used for viewing the content of surah Al Baqarah. This paper also attempts about some suggestions to improve the prototype to make sure that user understand better the types of ayah in Al Quran in more simple and interactive manner. |
