dc.description.abstractThis paper presents the design and development of the low cost data acquisition card (DAQ) easily be implemented through any standard personal computer (PC) serial communication software such as hyper terminal. It is suitably to be used in the applications such pc based data acquisition and control system; ultimately suitable for education purposes. The hardware developed, the programming concept and communication protocol utilized are addressed and presented. The developed prototype has been tested and the superb corresponding results are reported. This project reviews the previous studies on the pc based data acquisition to meet demand in pc based automation etc. The novelty of this paper is the simplicity and universal of the communication protocol used is revealed and the economical of the project implemented.en_US
