metadata.fyp.dc.description.abstract: A diesel generator is a combination of a diesel engine with an electric alternator to generate electricity. The aim of this project is to develop a generator monitoring system using combination systems of LabVIEW and Arduino. Other than that, the air of this paper is to integrate the generator monitoring system with Data Dashboard application and to indicated the smoke level sensors. The code was written in LabVIEW in G-code which converted to C++ languages and uploaded to Arduino that suitable for all Arduino board. The data gained are used as preventive maintainance for the generator itself. The data are logged which help the user to monitor the behavior of the diesel engine and user can plan next maintainance time to avoid major breakdown.
