Abstract: As port traffic continues to grow, the economic effects and pollution have become severe. This research aims to identify the determinants required to ensure the achievement of a green port status for Port Klang dry bulk terminals and also to select the key determinants by identifying the weightage of each green port indicator. This research was conducted on the experienced or expert workers of Port Klang dry bulk terminals. Several methods have been used in conducting this research. First is qualitative content analysis on the review of the literature. The analysis resulted in the identification of 19 important indicators that were used in the development of first round questionnaire. The outcome of the first round questionnaire survey was the identification of 12 important determinants, which were used in the development of second round Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) questionnaire survey. The outcome of the second survey was the identification of weightages of each determinants. Using AHP pairwise comparisons technique, the key determinants identified in this study are hazardous cargo management (0.360), followed by hazardous waste handling (0.143), and avoiding the dust pollutant (0.106). This study also emphasizes on the need to take into account on the key determinants that could improve the terminal’s sustainability and green port status
