Abstract: On board ship it is necessary to have a display unit for the power consumption on each system in order to overcome and avoid overload. The presence of wattmeter bring easier for the checking process that will come out reading of the total power has been used by the system. This project intends to display power consumption on a dc generation module by using wattmeter. The purpose of this teaching aid is to portray the power value (watt) of each system been used on the wattmeter. The construction of wattmeter are system out by the microprocessor, Arduino Nano. The dc power generation module consist of generator and alternator model that delivered their current to the specific systems such as, air ventilation system and lightning system can be most easily demonstrated using this teaching aid. For the teaching and learning purposes, this wattmeter that act to display out the reading of power consumption (Watt) on the lcd screen which calibrated by the specific coding of each system based per on board ship .This project which is more environmentally friendly particularly for in class uses as it is portable module. This teaching aid is expected to provide better understanding on value of power consumption or wattmeter that tend to portray the reading of a system as per on board ship in watt.
