Abstract: Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Institute of Aviation Technology (UniKL MIAT) had embarked upon a quest to integrate entrepreneurship with aviation technologies. In an attempt to create entrepreneurial thinking among its faculty members and spur growth in the nation’s aviation industry, an intrapreneur development program was initiated at UniKL MIAT. Faculty members are encouraged to create business venture to provide technology related services to the industry. However, to be involved with activities related to civil aviation in particular, a lot of constraint with regulation requirements is expected. There would be lengthy and tedious process that can be expected prior to be considered as a Design Organization. For this reason, Centre for Aerospace Design (CAeD) was established to promote a forum for qualified lecturers to be participated in consultation works related to aviation. CAeD products are wide range covering from special training, trading, consultation and research. CAeD is a self running organization due to its ability to maintain an adequate profit. This paper elucidates the activities of CAeD and the application of entrepreneurship within and outside the organization and to provide a conceptual document to generate discussion on the subject of Design Organization Approval (DOA).
