Abstract: Home is a place where one lives permanently, especially as a member of a family. In this modernization era, Smart Home is a house has an automation system. It helps to raise the home living standard by providing quality of living to elderly and disabled people. Therefore, it fulfills human needs in-home monitoring systems where the devices intelligently linked together by using NodeMCU programming software. It also helps to reduce the power consumption of the household where the user can monitor the activities of the appliances at their house. The system is implemented by using electronics components such as LED and 5V exhaust fan act as home appliances. Simple voice commands are given to the Google Assistant application, with help of If This Then That (IFTTT) application and free server from io.adafuit. The commands from users are decoded and sent to the NodeMCU and it turns to control the relays connected then will turning the output connected to the respective relay ON or OFF as per user request to the Google Assistant application. The communication between the NodeMCU and the application via the Internet (Wi-Fi). The project development can help humans in the future especially those who are unable to walk or move because they can simply control the appliance via voice commands. It also helps to save time, money and energy.
