Authors: MUHAMMAD HARRIS SHAH BIN SHAHRUDIN, Diploma of Engineering Technology in Electrical and Electronics
Issue Date: 7-Dec-2019
Abstract: Agriculture industry is one of the most important industry as there are many agricultural products provide food resources that contain many nutrients. Plant provide us a basic need to survive such as oxygen. Plant Monitoring System using IOT technology that has moisture sensor could detect the moisture level of the soil and could provide water to the soil. In Malaysia, there are different seasons which has different effect on temperature and humidity. Each day, temperature and humidity level that surrounds the plant will be different. temperature and humidity sensor that is provided will help the growth of the plant and ensure the health of the plant in different weather condition. The user is able to see those data that are captured by these sensors in a webserver that has a user interface which they can interact with. The farmer or user can control the ultraviolet light which is very important for the growth of the plant in the webserver. Next, the user can water the plant by pumping the water from tank. They also can control the temperature by turning on the cooling fan. With Internet Of Things technology, The user can monitor and control their plant wherever they are as long there are internet connection provided for their device. For this way, Plant Monitoring System can be used in either manual or automatic.
