Abstract: | The conventional techniques used in measuring the distance and area of the location such as trundle wheel, measuring tape, surveyor etc is not suitable to be used in measuring the narrow or dangerous area.This study is to develop the mini-robot for measuring the distance and area using android application. Furthermore, in controlling the movement of the robot is using the Bluetooth for connection the communication between Bluetooth device and Bluetooth HC 06 module. In addition, the application of MIT Apps Inventor 2 is used for controlling the mini-robot and display the result. For the detection of distance measurement, the route path by using the LM393 speed sensor which have Infrared Light sensor and comparator IC on it where attach it at motor shaft. The result distinguished measurement during night time is more accurate compared to in day for giving efficiency of 1m is 25%, 2m is 5.26%, 3m is 4.53%, 4m is 3.09%, 5m is 2.46%, 6m is 1.52%. The distance measured by the robot and being controlled wirelessly via mobile phone can assist human limitation in measuring the narrowed and dangerous area. |
