dc.description.abstract | Electronic-commerce (e-commerce) is a form of shopping that has been widely used worldwide. This research presents the approach of improvement for the design for the packaging that is used in e-commerce. The goal of this study is to provide a feasible solution to reduce the environmental impact of waste produced by packaging and at the same time help the packaging to have longer life cycle. This is important as packaging generates a lot of waste that are harmful to the environment and the amount of waste will increase year by year due to the rapid growth of the e-commerce industry. E-commerce provides great platform for retailers to sell their products but it also has negative impacts in the stages of logistic and the amount waste that are produced. This paper addresses the above ideas and presents the design process, results of data collection and some experimental tests. | en_US |
