Title: Inter-Section Robotic Challenge (Microrunner)

Abstract: This thesis is about the microrunner robotic challenge. To design this robot, it need use the ARDUINO Uno and infrared distance sensor. ARDUINO use as a memory to the servomotor and infrared distance sensor function. Through the ARDUINO, the controller unit can send the signal to the servomotor and sensor to a robot. A few step to design the circuit and also built up the robot. Some solutions were discussed and suggestion for further work is proposed to upgrade the system. The robot name’s is “DOOLY ROBOT”.Every competition have their rules, it same goes in this challenge. There are a few limitions or problem statement for this project. The robot must without wheel, no rolling object and the important is the maximum motor watts are 210° are allowed. The size of the robot also has the limitation. Every single problem has their solution. In this competition, what I have done is do the searching about the robot exist before this and try to design the robot like the rules need. Search the type of motor that no more 210° movement. To avoid the obstacle, I use the IR distance sensor and also ARDUINO as a memory to control the robot. From the problem, I still achieved the goal of the competition. The robot can avoid the obstacle at in front and can move forward and backward during the competition in time in 3 minutes are given. The objective of this project has completely achieved. The sensor and the servo motor run as the planning. Through the project, student has gain knowledge understanding designing software and hardware. The main purpose of this project has been achieved. It can be further developed and improved. The project has been successfully designed, tested and evaluated. It has met the objective of the project. For the robotic challenge competition, I got second prize winner.
