Abstract: This project is to development or improvement some system to reduce of lightning induce due to resistive, capacitive and inductive coupling effects. This project is to develop a protection to a system from lightning strike due to coupling method. It is use to protect any kind of electronic equipment that can be damage by high voltage surges and the spike from the effects from lightening strike. The damage from the lightning effects not only includes the equipment damage, but the human life also in high risk to death. Most of today building is installed with lightning protection system. Some of the protection system is not reliable because in some particular case, there is still fault happening on electronic device such as facsimile machine and television when lightning strike. In this case study, the same situation happens. The purpose of the lightning protection system installation is to intercept the lightning strike current and voltage, shunting it to the ground away from the protected object, but for more protection. This project is focus to give a secondary protection to any kind of electrical system that can be damage by high voltage surges and the spike from the effects from lightning strike. It is can solve the problem from lightning strike problem. This project can eliminate the surge problem in our electrical system now day. As we know, many type of surge protection in market today. But with the additional or improvement from this project, the protection device maybe can be more effective. Besides, the developed from this project can counter offer a number of advantages to power utilities problem. As a conclusion, this project can improve the protection system and provide the answer for the effectiveness of the protection product. The primary lightning protection system at the building obviously has been installed to protect from direct strike or flash over from lightning strike, but there is no surge protection devices equipped for the secondary lightning protection system. The reason for the secondary protection system installation is to protect electric and electronic equipment who place inside the building.
