Title: Development of Single Phase Low Distortion for Sinusoidal PWM Inverter
Authors: Noor Zawani binti Yusop
Issue Date: 22-May-2013
Abstract: Most industrial applications require high frequency high voltage power supply. These increased power requirements have lead to significant development in inverter technology. The main purpose of this project is to overcome the problem. This project presents the development of inverter by using Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation (SPWM) switching scheme for 1kw output rating with low total harmonic distortion. With high harmonic distortion, it can lead the equipment component to overheat and it can affect the equipment and can cause inaccurate results obtained. That is why the purpose of this project is for industrial use because it can protect the equipment like machine that has been used in industry from damage. This project also based on integrated between analogue and digital technique for the switching scheme. By using this technique the switching scheme can be control according to the load that has been used. From the research many of devices were design to work with a sine wave. That is why this inverter is very suitable to use because this inverter are used SPWM technique hence make it compatible with all AC equipment. The application can be use for this project not only for industry usage but it also can use for sensitive equipment such as medical monitors because it can protect the equipment that has been used from damage and get the accurate result.
