Issue Date: 4-Jul-2019
Abstract: The reason for the project to be create was to develop a smart lighting system that was focusing on how to cut the cost on energy consumption and reduce the use of manual workers. Issues emerges when there are many lighting in certain buildings and streets are not been supervised appropriately that which could bring to the causes a lot of wasted energy. An advance lighting technologies that are currently exist in the market was reviewed due to study the advantages that can be innovate and enhance the technology and to be implementing in our Solar Powered Intelligent Light (SPIL) design project. For the beginning of planning Solar Powered Intelligent Light ( SPIL ), various sensors and lighting control innovation are studied. The intelligent light will glow with high intensity when there are any object passing through otherwise the light will remain dim. With the improved technology things are becoming much simpler for everyone. By utilize the system controller to be working automatically could reduce the needs of manual workers on handling the lighting system. We create the SPIL so that we could have an intelligent system with a various modules that were consist a combination of sensors and system controllers. The modules were attached to the microprocessor that is known as Arduino which act as the main controller for the entire running systems. SPIL system are divided into two different types of modules which is known as Input and Output. The Input will transmit the signal to the processor that been activate by the sensor while on the hand the Output will start to controlling the lighting system once the processor receive any data. A systems which could able to run automatically can be a major turnover on helping to solve today’s economy issues and in every day experience. An automatic programmed system is far more favourable than the manual system. The SPIL are able to decrease the use of energy consumption by using IR sensors as switching device for dimmed the lights automatically. SPIL are capable to become the lighting solution on most of the buildings
