Abstract: In order to fulfill the required sector, Malaysia has been receive more labor force from the other countries such as Indonesia, Bangladesh, Nepal, Myanmar and others. This study aims to find out the main factor of immigrants employment and to identify the effects of factors affecting immigrants‟ employment to in marine industry. The factors are wages and working hours, working environment, produce better quality of work, and shortage of local labor force. This study used combination of qualitative and quantitative methods, involving twenty eight of respondents at Grade One Marine Shipyard. The findings find out that the main factor of affecting immigrant employment is shortage local labor force. This study also reveals that by hiring immigrants it can help to give awareness to the local workers to have flexibility and follow the requirements of the employer.
