Title: IoT Based Antenna Positioning System
Authors: MUHAMMAD NAJMI BIN YUSSOFF, Diploma of Engineering Technology in Telecommunication
Issue Date: 7-Mar-2019
Abstract: Internet of Things (IoT) refers to a physical device that is connected to the internet that is collecting and sharing data. It is possible to turn anything into part of IoT. The project is aimed at implementing the Internet of Things (IoT) to the antenna positioning system. This is to overcome the antenna’s problem for having to control the position manually. The method that is used here to control the antenna’s position is by using Arduino Uno and servo motors. The Blynk app act as a remote and is used to send the signal to the Arduino through the internet. The project helps control the antenna’s position by the user’s command and able to control from a long distance, as long the antenna and the smartphone have an internet connection. The outcome of the project has enabled a solution of the common problem faced during antenna positioning.
