Abstract: In this modern era, all technologies have become sophisticated and more innovative. But still many places of education such as universities are still using the old pigeonhole system. The purpose of this study is to design a new concept of smart pigeonhole notification system for assignment submission by using NodeMCU. Next to develop notification that will alert lecturer via email regarding on time assignment submission and to protect the assignment and laboratory report that was submitted by student. In addition, servo motor and PIR motion sensor are also used to move the door automatically. While micro switch button was used to restart the program. A website is also built to allow owner pigeonhole to identify who has sent the assignment. As a result, the owner of this pigeonhole will get a notification about the user information that has delivered the assignment. Besides, the owner able to locate the user who submitted the assignment later than the set time. The number of lost assignments also decrease as the project it creates with a door that will open and close automatically. As a conclusion, there is no longer any difficulty the owner encounters to find out who has submitted the late assignment. Pigeonhole breakage and loss can also be avoided.
