Bicycles are vehicles used as an exercise, recreation and sports. The awareness of the dangers of cycling by behavioural negligence is a factor of increasing accident rate. Indeed the responsibility as an industrial designer in this research to design and develop safety equipment. This research focus on safety light to improve the visibility of the cyclists to other road users under circumstances of poor ambient illumination especially at night. The considerations on solving problem are as in the design aspect, as well as sustainability. The method used in obtaining data needed for analyzed such as product development process, Quality function deployment, and product design specification. The survey showed that 86% required creating a portable safety light indicator, 77% claim the improvement of existing safety light need to consider. As a result the final product produced based on the findings such as easy-to-use, user-friendly, and safety features is emphasized.en_US
