Abstract: This report focuses essentially on “Effects Of Solar Radiation Towards Building Orientation – Unikl Malaysian France Institute On Its Microclimate Variables And Cost Impact”. The project is about finding the most optimum orientation for Block E, UniKL Malaysian France Institute. The building is constructed in a conventional way, where the microclimate variables; air temperature and relative humidity and lighting element; illuminance level may be higher due to solar radiation effects. The measurements for the conventional building shall be taken in two ways, site experiment and simulation in a building power tool called IESVE 2017. Another different orientation of Block E will be designed in IESVE 2017 to provide new measurements meeting the thermal comfort in ASHRAE 55, MS 1525 and Green Building Index regulations. The results between conventional and newly-oriented building are then distinguished by calculation of energy usage based on external gain and also the cost impact from the changing building orientation.
