Title: THE DEVELOPEMENT ANDROID APPLICATION PH VALUE ANALYSIS

Abstract: The pH value analysis has a commercial value in Malaysia, and has a large market share from traditional market to modern market. Most of people do not know and care about the pH value, while it is very important to human. Especially, in terms of health. There are many ways to determine the pH value. One of them is by using the litmus paper. In the value of pH, there are 14 values which determine it is acid, neutral and alkaline. By these problems, the research is done to detect the pH value by using android application based on pixel color changes. The purpose of this study is to apply a method of pixel color to decide the range of red, green and blue (RGB) color of the image taken. The research subject is to create an image processing application for detecting the color changes of image, statistically based on its RGB color. The data of the research use the cropping of litmus paper image that has been tested which is taken manually. By using the method of RGB color. It’s can determine the color changes of litmus paper to show the value of ph. The method of data collection used is the literature study method using data from books, e-books, previous researches and the literature from internet. The method of observation is by taking the image of a litmus paper, and the method of documentation is by collecting the data directly. Application is tested by taking the image of litmus paper tested. Based on the testing results by using 70 samples consisting of 67 images of litmus paper tested is accurate with the real value of pH and 3 images not accurate. Overall, the success level of the image processing application for detecting the level of pH value is equal to 95.7%. Therefore, the application is consider is accurate and can be used.
