metadata.fyp.dc.description.abstract: Nowadays, the implementation of Internet of Things which is also known as IOT, has been used widely in varieties of fields. IOT is a system which is related with computing devices, mechanical machines, digital machines, objects, animals or people that provide unique identifiers. Besides, it can transfer data over a network without actually need interactions between human and human or between human and computer. In this project which is the Development of Automatic Garage Controller via IOT, the IOT is applied to home garage door. In the existing home garage system, the garage can be open or close manually or using a remote control. The remote control can control the garage at a certain distance, which makes the system less efficient. Sometimes, the user need to step out from their car, just to make sure that the remote is at the right distance to control the garage. This proposed project is an IOT based automatic garage controller using Raspberry PI and Arduino UNO which combines the garage remote controlling from your mobile phone using app called Blynk. In this project, the app in the mobile phone is used to control the garage instead of remote control. All of this system is controlled by Arduino UNO except for IOT that is controlled by Raspberry P. The garage can be opened by using IR remote, keypad with right password and via IOT by using mobile phone. The results from this project are, the garage door can be opened and closed by using IR remote control, the garage can be controlled from the mobile using application named Blynk and the garage also can be opened using the keypad as the backup system. By having this project, the difficulty to park the car into the garage can be solved since this project is helpful in many ways.
