Abstract: An efficient of vehicle tracking system is designed and implemented to track the movement of any equipped vehicle from any location at any time. The purpose of this project is to combine a Smartphone Application with a microcontroller to control the whole system. The vehicle device works by using Global Positioning System (GPS) and Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM) technology which is one of the most common ways for vehicle tracking. A microcontroller is used to control the GPS and GSM module and circuit relay. The vehicle tracking system uses the GPS module to get geographic coordinates at regular time intervals. The GSM module is used to transmit and update the vehicle location database. The circuit relay use to cut off and on the power of vehicle. A Smartphone application is also developed to continuously monitor the vehicle location. The Google Map API is used to display the vehicle on the map in the Smartphone application. Thus, users will be able to cut off and on power vehicle and continuously monitor last location vehicle by using Smartphone application.
