Abstract: Thermoelectric is similar to the solar energy which are renewable and sustainable kind of energy that very familiar in renewable energy. Due to the difficulty to gain an electricity supply in having an outside activity, thus this “Development of portable thermo-electric generator” has been proposed. The problem faced in having an outside activity is having an electronics gadget but the energy of the gadget cannot last longer more than 9 to 10 hour without charging. Again, the objective for this project is be able to gain the supply for the gadget to recharge whenever having an outside activity such as hiking or camping. This project are also portable and can be use everywhere the user want it as long as the heat/fire are there to be use for the input to the Peltier module. This project also propose a green technology because it only use small amount of fire which is controllable and does not harm the environment and also the camp fire are only use for cooking purpose when doing the outside activity. The method used in this project is using the heat from the camp fire when cooking and use the heat to supply the TEC (thermoelectric cooling) then the temperature different which known as “seebeck effect” will producing an electrical energy. The energy produce are not enough to recharging the gadget but by adding amplifier/doubler circuit to double the value of energy produce by the Peltier module will do the job. Other than that, voltage regulator are also used in this project because the rating voltage to normally charging an electronics devices or gadget is maximum to 5V, hence, having the regulator circuit will regulate the excessive voltage from the amplifier and stabilise it into 5Vdc to the output. The result that obtain from this project is the voltage produce are promising which is 5Vdc more or less. When recharging the power bank using the project, the voltage slightly drop due to the current that produced are low but it enough to recharging the gadget during the activity take place. Despite all that, the thermos-electric generator work properly and the objective is of this project achieved.
