Abstract: Today, the magnificent of energy used mostly for cooling the air in closed area especially in houses. Cooling the air by using refrigeration or air conditioning can effectively making the differences in lower the temperature is closed areas but also uses a lot of energy to operate in the whole day. This lead to the introduction of Evaporation Cooler. The concept of evaporation method are used to develop a system that changes the hot air from the surrounding to be cooled. Thus, this project are to develop a small and low cost evaporative fan that can be used in small area in houses. This project uncover to determine the effectiveness and the performance of environmentally evaporative air cooler to lower the temperature of the surrounding air. In terms of reducing the energy used, an automatic fan controller system that changes the speed of the fan according to the temperature of the surrounding are used to reduce the consumption of energy of the system. The working model used pool filter as it alternative medium of evaporative that been implemented into the system. Below of the system located a water tank that are filled with water then been circulated to the medium by using a water pump and the air blew out the system by a high power fan. The evaporative fan manage to reduce the surrounding air more than a normal table fan which the differences of temperature been reduced are about 1 °C. The normal table fan does not cool the air entirely the system act like a ventilation system that result to the temperature surrounding of the air are constant. While an evaporative fan are the system that exchange the air to be cooler which make it to cool off a closed room. The project provides cooling system which is considered to be the solution for people who lived in four season countries that have dry and low humidity seasons especially on summer.
