Title: Development of Energy management System using GSM for home based appliances

Abstract: As the home energy consumption is increasing due to the usage of large-sized home appliances, the development of energy management system becomes necessary and important for the users to manage their home devices. This statement can be related to the basic purpose of this project which is to develop a smart system that can give the users right to control their own home based appliances from anywhere and at any time. There are some issues that are associated to the proposing of this project such as the energy resources, the costs and the development of technology and living standard. Refer to the completion of this project, this paper are proposing for two part of implementation and design which are the hardware and software. Global System for Mobile Communication, GSM and Arduino based on microcontroller are tend to be the controller devices while the concept of serial communication and AT commands will be applied towards the hardware part for the completion of this project. This research study will collect as much as possible information that related to this project especially an already exist product that need for improvement.
