Abstract: In this project, the main purpose is to develop a data logging system for landslide detection, as the event of landslide is a major misfortune for human life and property. The following reason is to provide educators with an enhanced fit system and methodology for the assessment of landslide hazard. Early prevention is better though the possibility to stop landslide occurrence is impossible, thus warning system is the best method to save human lives and reduce fatality risk. As to alert the society from the disaster, these methodologies are applied to ensure the project completed successfully. The DHT22 sensor utilized to record the temperature and humidity of the soil surface while MPU6050 gyro-accelerometer is an absolute sensor with features of 3-axis gyroscope together with 3-axis accelerometer to detect any shaking condition or vibration exceptionally high accuracy and resolution at very low noise. Another sensor includes soil moisture sensor. Arduino Mega 2560 records and displays the temperature, humidity, vibration and moisture of the soil surface while the transmitter ZigBee transmits the information gained from transmitter side processor. ESP8266 acts as a web-server that transmits this information to Blynk. Therefore, this project is becoming a top priority as we utilize it in the real-time purpose for saving lives and property. The design of this project connects wireless sensor network and wireless communication technology for disaster alert.
