Abstract: Partially phosphorylated polyvinyl alcohol - aluminum phosphate (PPVA_AIPO4) composites were synthesized through the mixing of pure polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) with phosphoric acid (PA) which produced partially phosphorylated poly vinyl alcohol (PPVA). Later, the addition of aluminum nitrate (AI2O3) to the PPVA produced PPVA-AIpo4 composite. Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) and Raman spectra confirmed the phosphate group in PPVA-AIPO4 and also OH-A1 bands. This confirmed that the phosphate group in PPVA created bonding with aluminum
