Abstract: The use of electromyography in diagnosing nerve conditions have always been deemed an accepted method. Electromyography is the study of nerve signals from the muscle. All muscles require signal from the nerve in order to contract and relax when needed. When this signal is tampered with by nerve injury, the muscle cannot function properly and can lead to loss of motion. The use on non-invasive techniques for measuring EMG signal has been around for quite some time. Sensors for detecting and measuring the EMG signal has developed a lot and becoming more accurate while being smaller. A small but powerful microcontroller capable of driving sensors and modules and accept programming are also available. In this paper, a project for designing and developing a device that can measure the amplitude of the EMG and determining its health while becoming user-friendly and portable will be discussed. This device will use Bluetooth and connect to a smartphone application and can be controlled using the application. The device is affordable and easy to use with minimal to no training at all.
