Abstract: This report presents the design and development of a Metal Detector Cleaning Vehicle that could detect nail and sharp metal on road problems. This problem has been an issue to road user especially motorcyclist for decades. The problem is categorised as hazard on the road that dangerous to road users. The road authorities such as Public Work Department (JKR), Plus Highway Department and others could not response directly to these problems. The authority could not clean up these hazardous metals one by one because it will only consume more energy, more time and cost. These problems have been a nightmare to road user who uses the road with exposed risk and dangers every day. These problems have been going on over some period of time, and have not been solved or tapped yet by any individual or organization. Metal Cleaning Vehicle will help the authorities to overcome this problem. Metal Cleaning Vehicle will be able to detect the metal and attract the identified metal to be sucked into the special location inside the vehicle. Metal Cleaning Vehicle will do all the cleaning of the metal on the road and being controlled by a single person. The road user doesn’t have to worry anymore about their safety. They can reach their destination safely on time. The road authorities can save their time, operation cost, and human energy. Rather than cleaning up hazardous metal which require a lot of time and human energy, they could use the Metal Cleaning Vehicle (MCV) which is user friendly and cheaper to maintain.
