Abstract: This Final Year Project aims to improvise traditional attendance system which has been used in most universities in Malaysia especially in our university, British Malaysian Institute, University of Kuala Lumpur (UniKL BMI) by introducing biometric technology to be used to replace the method signatures in the entire attendance system for the students pursuing courses at an educational institute. Taking attendance manually such student signature or calling each student’s names in the class as is done now then keep it in the system for a long period of time makes it a difficult task and also waste a lot of time. For this reason, an efficient system is designed. This paper presents the design method of wireless fingerprint attendance system based on Bluetooth technology. This system attendance is based on biometric methods and wireless techniques which they can solve problems such as counterfeiting presence and save a lot of time. It can make attendance more easily and effectively.
