Abstract: Fishing boat has been used for ages by mankind to get the food supply. From the very beginning the boat uses different kind of method to move the boat from using pedal, sail and today using engine powered by diesel or petrol. For my Final Year Project, I will design and build prototype to move the boat using Solar Powered Electrical Propulsion System. This system will use an electrical motor to run the propulsion. The electrical motor will get the power from the battery and solar system will charge the battery during daylight. Even though this system has already developed by various people, but as a student of Marine Electrical and Electronic I need to design this system to be stable and practical to be used at night time if needed.
