A SMART GUIDANCE QURANIC READING SYSTEM FOR VISUALLY IMPAIRED (FOR BEGINNER)

Abstract

This project intends to assist visually impaired in Quranic education using braille and sound. The objective is to develop a device that can assist visually impaired to learn about Quranic education for beginner level. The focus is for beginner level visually impaired to learn the basic Arabic braille and the right pronunciation and expected to be one of the teaching aid that can be use around the world. The problem that nowadays, lack of teaching aid and no development on basic Quranic braille. The current issues on Arabic braille that there are invention on replacing the current Quranic braille due to its inefficiency to the user for reciting the Quran but the basic to learn one by one of the Arabic braille are not yet invented. This project apply the concept of keyboard that are designed to produce sound and have three mode that are Fathah, Kasrah and Dammah. The user can choose the desired mode and choose manually which letter they want to know the right pronunciation. This project are expected to finish in a year of two semester. As conclusion, it is expected to give much benefit and contribution to the society. It is believed that this project implementation has a great potential impact in the future and assisting many visually impaired in learning the Quran.
