dc.description.abstractResearch on renewable energy is currently given a serious consideration. Many countries leaders has shown their interest and positive attitudes in terms of willingness to develop alternative energies, based on the fact that the fossil fuel reserves on the earth is lessened years by years. Serious attention should be paid to reduce the dependence on fossilized organic found in this earth planet. The negative effects on the environment which increased from fossil fuel combustion in addition to its limited stock also have forced many countries to explore and change to renewable energy. This Final Year Project proposes a low-cost wind turbine built using cheap and recycle items. When we talk about wind turbine, we will think about the wind energy that one of the renewable energy. It is contribute on reducing the pollution and the green way of using energy to safe environment. With reducing dependency on using fossil oil, this wind turbine can generate enough power to generate one house and it is affordable. Its power produced also more safe compare to current power produced by the current sources in Malaysia. Wind turbine convert the kinetic energy into mechanical power. Generator was used to convert this mechanical power into electricity that are very useful nowadays. Can we imagine if every house have their own small low-cost wind turbine? How much it help in reducing the energy pollution at the same time give them benefit by using cheapest power unit. Wind turbine is often associated with the very high cost to developed. That is why no investor dare to invest on doing this project especially on our country that the average wind in many places are not suitable to put wind turbine. With all the research made, this problem can be solved by placing the wind turbine at the right height, using the suitable blade that can easily rotated and using the right generator to produced the power. Finally, I hope this project can give a lot of benefit to the users in other to save the environment while saving the cost of producing electricity. This project will contribute a lot of knowledge on wind energy and how to manipulate the recycle and cheap item to produce small and low-cost wind turbine. I also hope this will be the kick start for all the innovator out there to think more in improving the ability of the low-cost wind turbine so it remains relevant throughout the ages.en_US
