metadata.fyp.dc.description.abstract: Notice board is one of the favourite medium to deliver information to others. Since that notice board is widely used, sometimes they tend to use the notice board improperly. This will affect the effectiveness of delivering the information. The idea of the notice board controlled by GSM is to provide the solution to the problem faced. The objective of the project is to develop a notice board system controlled by GSM, to be able to send out information so that the message can be displayed on the notice board and also to promote a proper use of notice board by using GSM. The project can be operated by connecting the power adapter to the power sources and make a connection between Arduino module and laptop with a USB cable. Arduino will control the whole process. GSM SIM 900A modem that is connected to the Arduino will receive the message sent by the mobile phone. LCD will then display the message. If the message sent require alarm to be activated, then the buzzer will turned on. As the result of the project, people can deliver information by sending message to a particular number (sim card attached in the notice board) and the message will then be displayed at the notice board. Instead of printing displayed sheet and then paste on the notice board, people can simply sending out the message so that it can be displayed and if the message sent requires alarm, then the message will be displayed and the buzzer will turn on to indicates the alarm activated. This method is more effective, eco-friendly and also systematic. Therefore, it can be conclude that notice board controlled by GSM promotes a better way to send out information.
