Abstract: Nowdays, people are not very concern about their safety of surrounding. For example, the lecture room in the university is not safe enough because no safety procedure taken and intruder easy to stole the valuable things in the room. This project is built that consists of hardware and software development. This project has considered all options and created a secure access for a door which need a password to open the door. Using DTMF Tone, it enters a password to a system and if it is entered correctly, door will be opened by electromagnet lock. If not, the door will be closed. The main finding of our project is by creating a modern and safer way for lock system. This is because the tone of DTMF can’t be detected easily by human ears due to combination of dual tone frequency. The main aims in this project are to simulate locking system using Arduino software and to design and develop DTMF for lock system. The scope of this project is to operate at secured doors such as office, home, safety box and etc.The circuit will be function when the distance between microphone and users is in range of 0cm to 50cm. In addition, the volume of DTMF from the user’s phone must be 50% to 100% volume. The tone must be entered one by one, which each DTMF tone need time gap, 1 second. The limitation of the project is if there is presence of DTMF from another user, it will affect the function of the DTMF. This is because the microphone in the circuit will detect and process all the DTMF tone received. Since electromagnetic lock always need power supply to function, we use SLA Battery 12V as a backup as a power supply if there is blackout. Thus, the security is guaranteed.
