Abstract: In any supermarket, grocery store and shopping mall, a shopping cart is a necessary tool for shopping and it is very important that customers can shopping streets in large quantities without having to hold the purchased item. In addition, there are also safety issues such as falling off the shopping cart at the escalator. In addition, there are also customers who rush to find the desired product in the supermarket. Therefore, a trolley follower system has been developed to solve the problem of users in the shopping complex. Trolleys were equipped with Ultrasonic sensors to follow every movement of the travelled by users who are wear the movement detector in the shopping complex. Sensors were installed in front of the trolley to follow users to the location of the items they plan to buy in the supermarket. This system has been developed to facilitate the user, without the need to push further the trolley. Trolley follower will follow where every the user goes. In addition, users are included with the button on/off to control trolley follower. Ultrasonic sensor can detect every movement of the user who is wearing it. There is a difference frequency for each trolley so as not to follow other users. In conclusion, users can shop, pay more attention to choose the goods and be able to control their kids shopping without having to push the current shopping cart. Besides, they can track the purchased items easily. Meanwhile, supermarket owners can save cost from hiring trolley collector.
