Abstract: This project is to develop a Red Palm Weevil (RPW) Recognition system. This is an overview of the research for readers to understand what the development is about RPW recognition system. This Weevil has several types for example like Red Palm Weevil and Black Palm Weevil (Chalcosoma Atlas, Oryctes Nasicornis). The system of this project are using sound of RPW as an input and the output shown as an image by using the software. The advantages for this system are easier to recognize RPW and differentiate of it sound and easy the farmer to monitoring their farm. The Early symptoms include the red palm weevil attack, shoots withered tree yellowish, dry and eventually die. The larvae dig a hole in the shaft will cause a broken stem or trunk and the tree eventually dies. Monitoring using pheromone is a good approach and appropriate control practices in palm oil plantations or where the pheromone placed 30 meters between each trap. Employers advised to clean the area, then cut and burned to remove it from spreading.
