DEVELOPMENT OF PROSTHETIC ARM INTEGRATED WITH PROSTHETIC FINGERS

Abstract

This project is purpose to develop prosthetic fingers which integrated with prosthetic arm. Prosthetic is an artificial which are used to replaces on missing body parts. A prosthetic hand is a look like real authentic hand which invented for those who amputated or miss their hand. Furthermore, the standard artificial limb is for everyday use and many amputees have their special prosthetic and devices to supports in the participation of sports and recreational activities. Prosthetic hand is a gift for those persons who have lost their hand according’s to several possible reason, defective since birth or cause by disease. The main purpose of these requirements is to function similar to natural hand except cosmetic prosthetic hand. Cosmetic or “passive” prosthesis is a one of prosthetic hands that only for cosmetic purpose only where cannot work such as natural hand. There are experience with various forms of artificial hand that are available in the market. The design has two categories which electrical and mechanical hand. To control the prosthetic components there mechanical are used for the motion of the body to provide the necessary force. Mechanical prostheses known as using mechanical parts in this prosthesis arm the prosthetic arm operate the hand by a dc motor which is driven motor driver and push button. Microcontroller and servo motor it is the main component in prosthetic hand system.
