Abstract: This project presents the design and development of advance protection using RFID and GSM pigeon hole to protect the assignment and laboratory report that student sent. The lecturer will get the notification message via short message service (SMS) after their pigeon hole full. After that, if the lecturer want to open their pigeon hole the lecturer must touch their RFID tags to open the pigeon hole and collect the assignment and laboratory report that student sent. The innovation of the advance protection using RFID and GSM pigeon hole to resolve the problem that occur the assignment and laboratory report that student sent missing and the lecturer didn't collect the assignment and laboratory that student. Then, the pigeon hole right now at office building of electrical section Unikl BMI just using the pad locks as protection. The GSM, Global System for Mobile Communications function is to send the notification message via short message service (SMS) to inform the lecturer after their pigeon hole is full. The advantages using the GSM are the security GSM facilities are extremely protected, with skills in place that can defend against both snooping and service riding. GSM devices and facilities cannot be duplicated as simply as other skills. The SIM card or Subscriber recognize Unit card which transmits subscriber and exchange info, secures purchaser info. By using the RFID, Radio Frequency Identification is an inexpensive technology, can be implemented for several applications such as security and access control applications. The main objective of this project is to design and implement a digital security system which can deploy in secured zone where only lecturer that has RFID tags card can open the pigeon hole. We implemented a security system containing door locking system using passive type of RFID which can activate, authenticate, and validate the user and unlock the door in real time for secure access. The advantage of using passive RFID is that it functions without a battery. The door locking system functions in real time as the door open quickly when user put their tag in contact of reader. The system also creates a log containing check-in and check-out of each user along with basic information of user.
