Abstract: This final report is established to fulfil the diploma project requirement for engineering project module WPD 39806 for final semester student. A standard guideline is prepared to standardize various documentations and this report is done mainly to list down all the important aspect of the project or the electrical and electronic device that designed. This final report focuses on the most important circuit and device and their application. With a complementary laboratory, it provides an integrated treatment of principles, practical application, problem solving through the time duration of the complete of the project and the design techniques had applied. This report will demonstrate the overall ideal of the project in terms of technical and non-technical explanation and will be provided necessary information about the project in order to enhance fully understanding. There is also a recommendation made which may be useful for further enhance and functionality. Thus is conclusion, it could be the presentation of the project itself in the form of text and diagram. Many components have been use and all the instruction on how to build the project and system has inside the report. Solar energy is rapidly gaining notoriety as an important means of expanding renewable energy resources. Solar Energy is a peer-reviewed scientific journal covering research on solar energy such as photovoltaics and solar heating, but also its indirect usages like wind power or bioenergy. In our project, we use solar thermal/heat collection method to collects heat by absorbing sun rays to dry food. We used aluminium beverage cans, flexible aluminum sheet and metal plate as our heat absorber/element . The drying process is the process of dehydration consists of removal of moisture from the produce by heat usually in the presence of a controlled flow of air. Solar dryer with heat storage system and controlled by 12V exhaust fans (by using arduino with shield motor) was designed in order to solve the problems of the efficiency of the food to dry.
