Title: Study Of The Effectiveness Of Safety Management System In Malaysian Airline Berhad: A Case Study

Abstract: Aviation safety in the whole word today is a very essential research area at home and abroad. In recent years, human errors are causing to a catastrophic accident although safety is an important issue in aviation industry. Due to nature of aviation industry, fully elimination of accidents is unachievable. It is very important to improve safety level of aviation operation system by studying and exploring Safety Management System. Safety Management System has been developed to replace the traditional method that approaches to prevent an accident by focusing primarily on the probable causes and unsafe acts by operation personnel. Today, Safety Management Systems seek to improve the organizational approach to managing a safe and a successful aviation operation. Since many people lack information on the effectiveness of Safety Management System in a maintenance organization, the objective of this study will help to conduct on possible effectiveness of safety management system.
